Granite State Pro Stock Series Race at Star Classic to Air on MAVTV

WALPOLE, N.H. — Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS), Speed51, and Star Speedway officials announced on Tuesday that the GSPSS race at the Star Classic on Friday, September 17, will be part of Speed51’s Short Track American lineup on MAVTV.

As part of the three-day weekend at Star, the race will also air live to a national audience on Speed51.TV. The date for the enhanced broadcast on MAVTV will be announced at a later time, but it will include multiple different camera angles, onboard cameras, and more.

“Putting the Granite State Pro Stock Series on a national broadcast on MAVTV has been something we have been working on doing for a while,” Mike Parks, President of the Granite State Pro Stock Series, said. “We’re excited to work with the entire team, including Speed51, MAVTV, and the Webber family at Star Speedway. This will only help take the Star Classic to a higher-level and give our great drivers additional exposure.”

The GSPSS race will join the ISMA Supermodified 125-lap main as the two races from the Star Classic weekend on MAVTV. The Classic includes 14 different divisions with the Granite State Pro Stock Series headlining the Friday night program. Granite State will be joined by the EXIT Realty Pro Truck Series, Classic Lites, Street Stocks, and Six Shooters.

Opportunities for sponsorship for the race are available through the Granite State Pro Stock Series. The Star Classic will be the second trip to the Epping, New Hampshire, oval for Granite State teams in 2021 — with the series also making an early-season stop on May 8.

“We’re excited to work with the Granite State Pro Stock Series and Star Speedway to bring this race to a national television audience,” Brandon Paul, Director of Content for Speed 51, said. “If last year’s race was any indication of what is to come in 2021, this will be an exciting race for fans to watch on Speed51’s Short Track America on MAVTV.

“Adding the Granite State Pro Stock Series to the MAVTV lineup for the Star Classic, joining the ISMA race, will help Star Speedway continue to showcase our great Classic weekend,” Bobby Webber, owner of Star Speedway, said. “The Classic weekend is already known as one of the top multi-day race events in New England every year, and getting our drivers some national exposure is important to us.”

The 2021 Granite State Pro Stock Series includes 15 events, spread across three different states and nine different New England race tracks. The series will visit Star Speedway twice during the year — May 8 & September 17.

Star Speedway’s 2021 schedule includes more than 20 events, including the Star Classic.
