Sam Rameau Heads to Star Speedway Looking to Remain Perfect With Tri Track in 2021

WESTMINSTER, Mass. — Sam Rameau and the Rameau Family Motorsports team are one-for-one so far with the Tri Track Open Modified Series presented by All Phases Renovations in 2021. On Saturday, May 1, Rameau pocketed a $6,000 check by winning the season-opener at Monadnock Speedway. Now, he looks to make it two-for-two.

Rameau is set to compete in the Prelude to SBM X at Star Speedway on Saturday, May 22 — the second race of the Tri Track season. Rameau may have previously struggled at Star — but the Westminster, Massachusetts, rising Modified star is riding a wave of confidence and momentum and hopes to maintain his lead in the series point standings.

“Star is a fun track but we need some work there,” Rameau said. “We need to improve. The last time we went there we went in blindfolded… but my crew chief Russ Hersey has plenty of experience there, so we’re looking forward to going back. I want to win the Tri Track championship this year. Even if it doesn’t go our way on Saturday, we need every position and every point possible.”

The schedule for the day includes one practice session from 11:50-12:50 p.m., with qualifying heat races set to go green at 2:30 p.m. The feature race is estimated to take the green flag around 6 p.m. and will air live on Speed51.TV for those who can’t make it to the track.

Without partners like Central Mass Tree, Central Mass Truck & Equipment, Powell Stone and Gravel, Champeau Lumber, Flamingo Motorsports, Dennison Lubricants, CJ Logging Equipment, KG Coatings, AutoPlus, New England Truck & Auto Recyclers, All Phases Renovations, Performance Engines by Billy the Kid, Liberty Supply, WC Designs, Akin Automotive, MAC Tools, Waddell Communications, Frosted Frog and Schofield Power Equipment, competition wouldn’t be possible.
