  • Two exclusive designs unveiled ahead of Ocean X Prix
  • 10kg of ocean plastic removed for every watch sold
  • TW Steel partner with pioneering Veloce to ‘break barriers’

TW Steel is a driving force in the watch market, producing bold racing-inspired timepieces, and now the Dutch brand has teamed up with disruptive pioneer Veloce Racing to challenge motorsport’s status quo. Leading up to Extreme E’s Ocean X Prix in Senegal, TW Steel launches Veloce Limited Edition watches.

The TW Steel Veloce Limited Editions celebrate a passion for speed and a drive to boost sustainability. Embracing global challenges, each timepiece is a bold statement of intent that EV motorsport and esports are integral parts of the future. In line with this drive to boost sustainability, TW steel and Veloce support Oceanium’s ocean plastic removal project in Senegal by committing to remove 10kg of discarded plastic from the oceans for every Veloce watch sold.

The TW Steel Veloce Grand Tech Limited Edition, the GT12, is powered by a Swiss-made chronograph movement and features a 47mm black plated high-grade 316L steel case and a multi-layered dial with raised, brushed bridges. Limited to only 1000 pieces, this timepiece sports the sleek colour scheme of Veloce Racing. The SVS309 also takes inspiration from Veloce Racing’s race livery. The PVD black brushed case and dial with camouflage design dial captures the stylish design of the eSUV with which Veloce Racing competes in the most remote parts of the world. Each watch has an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, a screwed crown and a water-resistant depth of 10 ATM while both pieces contain the Ronda 5030.D Swiss-made chronograph movement that ensures perfect timekeeping. They also carry a special Veloce logo and a personal message engraved on the case back.

Jordy Cobelens, Chief Executive Officer of TW Steel, said:

“Our dedication to racing has been powerful from day one. Always looking to improve and break barriers, we’re thrilled to team up with pioneers like Veloce. We fully enjoyed the process of bouncing ideas back and forth to create two timepieces. These Limited Editions both showcase our shared boldness and can-do attitude”.

Daniel Bailey, CEO of Veloce Racing, added:

“Everyone across Veloce Racing and Veloce Esports is so excited to be launching The Veloce Limited Editions. We’ve loved working with TW Steel so far and I think collaborating on this project will only enhance our relationship further.

“Together with Ocean X Prix Legacy Programme partner Oceanium and their ocean plastic removal project, we will play our part in cleaning up Senegalese waters. Sustainability is at the heart of everything that Veloce does, so it is important that we’re also using this collaboration with TW Steel to make a positive impact on the environment.

“TW Steel is such a recognisable brand that deliver outstanding products and they’ve done it again with these exclusive Veloce watches. The design is sleek, the materials are premium quality and the finished product just looks phenomenal!”
