Granite State Pro Stock Series Rolls to Claremont With Race Four on Tap

WALPOLE, N.H. — With three races complete, the Granite State Pro Stock Series is set to return to Claremont Motorsports Park on Sunday, May 30, celebrating Memorial Day weekend with a 100-lap Pro Stock special. The tricky New Hampshire oval will host three of the 15 events on the series schedule this season — meaning those who hope to be in championship contention will need to get a handle on it quickly.

Entering the race, there have been three different winners in the first three races of the season. Joey Pole opened the year with a dominating victory at Stafford Motor Speedway, while Angelo Belsito stormed to Victory Lane in race two at Monadnock Speedway. Last time out, Bryan Kruczek drove the Bobby Webber Racing No. 19 into Victory Lane at his home track, Star Speedway. The entry list for Sunday’s spectacular includes a mix of former series champions, rising stars and series veterans.

Casey Call, the 2020 Rookie of the Year, will be joined by Josh King, a former series winner, who is carrying momentum off a second-place finish at Star Speedway on May 8. Young rising star Gabe Brown, who is expected to be a contender for the title this season, will be joined by Belsito, Tyler Tomassi, Kevin Casper, Luke Hinkley and more.

Former series winner DJ Shaw is expected to be back in competition, along with Byron Baker, Dave Helliwell, TJ Bleau, former champion Devin O’Connell, and Kruczek. After three events, Belsito leads O’Connell by six points in the standings, with Brown in third, eight back. King and Tomassi finish the top-five in the points grid.

Sunday’s race is the second of two for Memorial Day weekend at Claremont — with Key Chevrolet Buick GMC of Newport presenting the evening of action. The NHSTRA Modifieds join the card for their Quest For the Cup events — double-feature races — while the Mini Stocks have a special 60-lap madness event worth $2,000 to win, that is sure to draw cars from across the region. The NELCAR Legends, Avery Insurance Six Shooters, LaValley Building Supply Pure Stocks and a 4-Cylinder Enduro will also keep fans on the edge of their seats.

Tickets are $25 for ages 13+, with any seniors, ages 65+ set for $20. Those ages 6-12 may enter the grandstands for just $5, and anyone five and under, is free.

Pit gates open at 11 a.m.,  while the Granite State Pro Stock Series will practice from 1-1:30 and 2:25-2:55 p.m. Time trials begin at 4 p.m., to set the lineup for qualifying heats, which will follow, along with the 100-lap feature, which is estimated to take the green flag around 6:30 p.m.
