Speed51 Modified Madness Set To Return To Seekonk Speedway on Wednesday, June 30

$10,000 To Win Tri Track Open Modified Series Event Headlines Full Night of Racing

SEEKONK, Mass. — Seekonk Speedway and Speed51 announced on Tuesday a partnership for the annual Open Wheel Wednesday, set for Wednesday, June 30. The $10,000 to win night will be titled Speed51 Modified Madness. The night will see the stars of the Tri Track Open Modified Series compete at the Massachusetts oval for the first time in over 19 months for a $10,000 prize in the 16th annual mid-week event.

Speed51 Modified Madness night will also include the Dave Steele Memorial for the NEMA Lites, and the debut of the 350 SMAC Supermodified series at Seekonk for their own feature race. The night, worth just $30 in general admission for spectators, won’t be one race fans want to miss. The Open Wheel Wednesday 100 has long been known for thrilling finishes with top modified talent, and the addition of two other open-wheel divisions should make for an exciting night with a big check on the line.

As part of the partnership, the race will be streamed live on Speed51.TV to monthly and yearly subscribers.

“All of us at Seekonk Speedway are excited to partner with a top-notch broadcast team like Speed51.TV to put on this special event for our race fans,” Ed St. Germain, Director of Business Development at Seekonk Speedway, said. “We’re looking forward to having Modifieds back at Seekonk, after a tough year last year through the pandemic. We are coming out the other side and we are all looking forward to bringing back our staple events to officially celebrate our 75th season of racing. Speed51 has been a long-standing partner of the track and we look forward to working with them for many years to come.”

With 20 years of experience, Speed51 continues to raise the bar in race coverage with live race broadcasts, on-demand racing videos and news reporting from short tracks across the continent.

“Open Wheel Wednesday is one of the most highly-anticipated Tour-type Modified races of the year. We’re excited to partner with Seekonk Speedway and increase our involvement in this year’s event,” said Brandon Paul, Director of Content at Speed51.  “After a one-year hiatus, we know that the fans at the race track and those watching on Speed51.TV will be eager to watch the exciting return of Speed51 Modified Madness.”
