Seekonk Speedway Announces Schedule Update for June 26

SEEKONK, Mass. — Due to rain that forced the Saturday, June 19, raceday to be called off early at Seekonk Speedway, the track is announcing updates to the upcoming Saturday, June 26 race program.
Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman teams will open the night of racing at 6PM, picking up right where they left off last week. The Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Series round two race will restart on lap 11 of 35, with Steve Axon leading over Ed Perry, Chad Baxter, Corey Fanning and Craig Pianka. The division will complete the race and hold victory lane ceremonies on the frontstretch.
Following the completion of that event, NASCAR Saturday night continues with qualifying races for the Chaz Auto Body Sport Trucks, Everett’s Auto Parts Late Models & South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman. The Pro Stocks, who did not get to run their event last week, will not qualify again. The feature lineup that was originally set for last week will be used for this weekend.

The Sport Trucks will go 25 laps, then the Late Models will compete in round two of their Triple Crown Series for 45 laps. Then, the Sportsman return to the track for their second race of the night, a 25-lap feature, then, the Pro Stocks will complete the night with their first race in the Diamond Series.
Instead of the original 50-lap Diamond race, Pro Stock teams will take center stage with a 65-lap feature, adding 15 laps to the distance to make-up for last week, with a bump in the purse.

Tickets from the Saturday, June 19 event have been deemed complete. New tickets will be needed for all folks entering the pit area and the grandstands. Tickets in general admission are $15 for adults.
