After Month Off, Rameau Refreshed and Ready to Chase Big Check at Seekonk Speedway

WESTMINSTER, Mass. — After over a month off from competition, Sam Rameau and the Rameau Family Motorsports team are ready to chase a $10,000 check as part of a mid-week special on Wednesday, June 30. Competing in round three of the Tri Track Open Modified Series season, Rameau will drive the No. 06 Modified at Seekonk Speedway in their annual Open Wheel Wednesday event — this year sponsored by Speed51.TV with Modified Madness.

In the first two races of the Tri Track season, Rameau had a victory at Monadnock Speedway on May 1 and a 12th-place effort at Star Speedway on May 22. Rameau enters the Seekonk event just eight points behind leader Ron Silk with a goal of scoring the championship with Tri Track this season.

“We’ve had plenty of time to prepare the cars and get everything ready for this race,” Rameau said. “Hopefully, we can go to Seekonk and come out with the points lead and maintain our goal of winning the championship. The $10,000 check would be great — but I’d rather chase that big trophy and get the championship.”

In total, Rameau has run five races this season to date, with three finishes inside the top-10.

Practice for Tri Track teams will be one-hour, lasting from 3:45-4:45 p.m., while qualifying heat races will begin at 6:30 p.m., kicking off a full night of racing action. The Tri Track Open Modified Series will run heats, two consi races, and the 100-lap feature that will conclude the night. The 350 SMAC Supermodifieds and the NEMA Lites will also join the show.

General admission grandstand tickets are $30 for adults, with children 6-12 years old set at $10. Any kids five and under can enter the grandstands for free.
