Fonda Speedway Saturday Program Postponed; Sunday, July 4 Racing Remains On

FONDA, NY – Persistent rain showers and a saturated surface have forced the postponement of the Saturday, July 3 Recovery Sports Grill-sponsored event at Fonda Speedway.

The Fuccillo Autoplex of Nelliston ‘Firecracker 50’ featuring the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco on Sunday, July 4 will go on as scheduled featuring a $10,000-to-win Modified event and $2,000-to-win program for the Crate 602 Sportsman.

A huge fireworks display will wrap up the program.

Gates open at 4 p.m. Hot laps begin at 6 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m.

Adult grandstand admission is $24. Seniors (ages 65 and over) pay $22. Kids 11 and under are admitted free.

Pit admission is $35 (Non-Members) and $30 (Fonda Speedway members).

The ‘Thunder on the Thruway’ event will be postponed to a later date.

Since 1953, the “Track of Champions” Fonda Speedway has hosted the best in stock car racing. Under the management of BD Motorsports Media LLC, the speedway will operate weekly on Saturday nights from April through August plus several special events. Fonda Speedway is located on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds off New York State Thruway Exit No. 28 at 21 S. Bridge Street Fonda, NY 12068.
