Tri Track Returning to Seekonk Speedway With Two Dates in 2022

SEEKONK, Mass. — Tri Track Open Modified Series officials released two more dates for the 2022 schedule on Tuesday evening, both at Seekonk Speedway in Massachusetts. The third-mile will host the two annual Tri Track events again next season — with the $10,000 to win Open Wheel Wednesday set for Wednesday, June 29 and the Haunted Hundred set to return on Saturday, October 22.

In 2021, Matt Hirschman won the 16th annual Open Wheel Wednesday, becoming the first driver to win the race four times, while Chase Dowling dominated the Haunted Hundred en route to Victory Lane. The Seekonk Haunted Hundred will once again serve as the championship race for Tri Track in 2022.

“Seekonk Speedway is the home of the Tri Track Open Modified Series,” Wayne Darling, Managing Partner of the Tri Track Open Modified Series, said. “We enjoy heading there each year and these two events have become some of the most prestigious — not only in our schedule — but in New England Modified racing. We’re excited to continue to set our dates for the new season.”

“We’re happy to welcome back Tri Track for two more exciting open-wheel modified events for the 2022 season,” Ed St. Germain, Director of Business Development at Seekonk Speedway, said. “The Tri Track Series offers some great racing at the Action Track of the East and history shows the best drivers make their way to Massachusetts for these races. With Open Wheel Wednesday and the Haunted Hundred now set, our 2022 schedule is taking shape.”
