Bailey/Boyd Honored at Motorsports Show; New Board Announced

OAKS, PA- 2021 Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic ATQMRA fueled by VP Racing Fuels Champion Joey Bailey, and the #1B Boyd Racing Team were formally acknowledged during a unique awards ceremony at the Motorsports Race Car and Trade Show just over one week ago.

The ATQMRA booth at Motorsports provided a unique venue and opportunity for fan engagement, as competitors of The Premier TQ Midget Racing Division celebrated another successful season. Between drivers and car owners, 14 individuals were acknowledged for their accomplishments this season.

Highlights of the awards ceremony included the championship presentation to Joey Bailey and Car-Owners Donna and Lenny Boyd, RYNO Rookie of the Year Brianna Page, and VP Checkered Flag award recipient Buddy Sload.

Champion Bailey followed up his championship celebration with a championship-style run, at the historic Boardwalk Hall during the Gamblers Classic this past Saturday. Bailey made the feature and finished 7th in only his third career Indoor Auto Racing Championship series start.

After the awards ceremony was held, the 2022 ATQMRA Rules meeting was held. Buddy Sload was elected to remain President of the ATQMRA for this upcoming season. Lenny Boyd, Colin Martin, and Karen Sload will also retain their respective roles on the board for 2022.

Among the board changes, Kyle Taraska was elected as the new Vice President, Jeff Kot was elected the Driver Representative, and Steve Craig was elected the Owner Representative.

Upcoming rule changes for the season and the 2022 schedule will be announced in the coming weeks!
