Excitement Brewing for Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Model 5-Race Series

N. Woodstock, NH — The previously announced Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Model division at White Mountain Motorsports Park has nailed down a five-race series for 2022. The inaugural run for this new division will be in conjunction with the Northeast Mini Stock Tour (NEMST) in more ways than one. By utilizing the same rules package and scheduling on off weekends from the Tour, the Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models will feature a diverse class of drivers from across Northern New England who each have the chance to chase a separate championship at a track many have listed as one of their favorites.

The rules are simple and nearly identical to those that NEMST uses on their traveling show. Although powered by 4-cylinder engines, the variety of body options have led many to construct one-off designs with ABC-bodied bumpers, doors, and roofs leading to the ‘Mini Late Model’ moniker for the new WMMP division. Rules are available online at www.whitemountainmotorsports.com under Rules & Forms.

The Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models will be joining some of the biggest shows on the White Mountain schedule in 2022. Starting off with the 30th Anniversary Opening Weekend, the Mini Late Models will join the inaugural visit for the NE Big Block Super Modified Series along with the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models, PASS Mods, and Dads 4 By Kids Division. They will also join the weekly card on June 18, the Milton CAT Midsummer 250 on July 30, the JP Sicard Flying Tiger Series championship on August 13, and the R&R Race Parts Street Stock Open on September 24, where the series will wrap up their championship.

Several drivers are thrilled to make the trek down Route 3 more often in 2022 as license forms continue to trickle into the Barre, Vermont offices while inquiries are flooding social media and email inboxes. “We want cars on the track, not on jackstands,” said White Mountain managing partner Cris Michaud. “I’ve had numerous conversations with drivers the past few years about coming to White Mountain more often and, with NEMST limiting their schedule this summer, we felt the time was finally right. There’s a lot of excitement brewing and we’re looking forward to trying out this Mini experiment.”

White Mountain Motorsports Park opens the 2022 campaign with a 30th Season Doubleheader Weekend on May 14 and 15. Saturday, May 14 at 6:00pm is a four-division card with added-distance features for the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models, Wells River Chevrolet Flying Tigers, Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Mini’s, and Wayne’s Market Dwarf Cars. Sunday, May 15 at 1:00pm is the WMMP debut of the NE Big-Block Super Modified Series plus the PASS Super Late Model 150, PASS Modifieds, Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models, and Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division.
