Dylan Bilodeau, Greg Millette, George Helliwell, Nadine Coates, EJ Flannigan & Jim Walsh Grab Early Season Wins at the Bunny Brawl

Dylan Bilodeau started off his 2022 season in top form at Star Speedway on Saturday, April 23 at the annual Bunny Brawl. Dylan grabbed the checkered flag in the 50-lap main for the Woody’s Auto Street Stocks.

Bilodeau, who was also strong in his qualifier, used an early race restart to work by early leader Rich Macrae. Once out front, Bilodeau was able to flex his muscle, pulling away from his competition on a multitude of restarts during the caution-filled event. Following Bilodeau to the line was 2021 champion Jim Storace in second, and Milton Duran, who made a last-lap pass on Aaron Day to grab the third spot.

Greg Millette lead about every lap he turned at Star Speedway Saturday on his way to victory in the NAPA of Epping Mini Stock main. Millette started the race from the front and was able to lead the race by a comfortable margin throughout the 35 scheduled laps, with the majority of his difficulties coming from navigating lap traffic. Following Milette to the stripe was Aaron Day in second, with Ricky Fissete rounding out the final podium position.

George Helliwell was back in Star Speedway victory lane Saturday, this time in a Dwarf car in the K-COB Plumbing and Heating cash race for the division, worth $500 to win. Multiple-time winner and champion Justin Harris finished the main event in the second position, followed by Duane Schofield, who crossed the finish line in third.

The first Enduro race of the 2022 Star Speedway season was for the Ladies and Nadine Coates took home top honors when the final checkered flag flew. In V6/V8 Enduro race, Enduro veteran Jim Walsh was the first across the line taking top honors in the event. In the always popular 4 cylinder Enduro, it was EJ Flannigan, another veteran of Enduro racing, who was the winner in the 75-lap race, which closed out the 2022 edition of the Bunny Brawl.

Star Speedway is next in action on Saturday, April 30, with the official opening day for the Epping, New Hampshire, oval.
