Sam Rameau Set For Double Duty Weekend at Monadnock Speedway – YankeeRacer.com

Sam Rameau Set For Double Duty Weekend at Monadnock Speedway

After an offseason full of hard work and anticipation, Sam Rameau and the Rameau Family Motorsports team are ready to head back to work at the track this weekend. The Massachusetts-based operation will roll just up the road at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, New Hampshire, as Rameau will compete in two events over two days at Monadnock’s season-opening Spring Dash weekend.

On Saturday, Rameau will look for his third victory in the last five Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series events at Monadnock, set for 100 laps, with $10,000 on the line to the winner. Rameau picked up his first career Tri-Track win at the track in August of 2020 and followed it up by winning the season-opener at the beginning of 2021. He will look to beat some of the top stars in Modified racing on his home track – as the season begins with names like Matt Hirschman, Ronnie Williams, and others joining Rameau as the favorites to win.

On Sunday, Rameau will debut in a new ride in a brand new series – the Whitcomb 5 Series – as part of the NHSTRA Modified division at Monadnock. Rameau will be chasing a $5,000 winning prize plus some additional lap money in the special event. It’s the first of five races Rameau is planning on running in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series NHSTRA Modified division in New Hampshire in 2022.

He will chase the championship on both the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series circuit and the Whitcomb 5 Series.

“Definitely excited to get both of the cars on the track this weekend at Monadnock,” Rameau said. “It’s been a long offseason – building basically new cars for the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series, Whitcomb 5 Series and some NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour races. There is a lot of excitement around our group. There is no better way to start the season – double-duty at the home track, with three straight days of racing if you include the Friday practice. We are hoping for a good weekend.”

The race weekend schedule at Monadnock for Rameau Family Motorsports is going to be a busy one. On Friday, the team will take part in an optional practice session on the high-banks from 2-5 p.m. On Saturday, Sam will strap in the car for 100 laps of Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series competition with the big $10,000 prize on the line. On Sunday, Sam will wheel a different ride in the NHSTRA Modified event, worth $5,000 to win, as part of the Whitcomb 5 Series.

All tickets for the event will be sold at the gate on race day. A full schedule of events for the weekend can be found online at the Monadnock Speedway Facebook page. Saturday’s Tri-Track race will air live on RacingAmerica.TV for those who can’t make it to the track.
