Matt Kimball Dominates in the Firecracker 100 at Monadnock
WINCHESTER, NH- Matt Kimball led the final 82 laps of the Firecracker 100 Quest for the Cup NHSTRA Modified race at the Monadnock Speedway on Saturday night. Kimball set fast time in time trials with a lap of 12.921. The top five were inverted and Tyler Leary and Matt Kimball led the field to the green. Leary led the first 18 laps and then Kimball just took over and dominated. Kimball was on the only car in the 100-lap event that was not involved in a single caution.
Tyler Leary would finish the race in second after he and Brad Zahensky spun on lap 58 and Aaron Fellows finished in third.
Tim Wenzel won the Street Stock race. Gordon Farnum won the Mini Stock race. Ryan Currier won the Late Model Sportsman race. JD Stockwell won the Pure Stocks race and Owen Zilinski won the Young Guns race.
Monadnock Speedway will return to action on Saturday. Qualifying will begin at 6:00 p.m.
