Burris Racing Tire to Lead Weedsport Kartway’s Member Bonus Program in 2023

WEEDSPORT, NY (December 20, 2022) – Weedsport Kartway members will be eligible for a little extra in 2023, thanks to a renewed partnership with Burris Racing Tire for the upcoming Slack Karts Super Kart Series at The Short Port.

Competitors that register and pay the $50 Weedsport Kartway membership fee prior to the first event of the Slack Karts Super Kart Series on Saturday, April 29, could win a full set of Burris Racing Tires during the first five events of the season.

In total, 14 sets of Burris Racing Tires will be distributed to member teams prior to the start of the James Shutts Memorial event at Weedsport on Sunday, September 17.

“We’re proud to work alongside Burris once again in 2023 and believe this program will be a nice way to give back to teams during the year,” said Weedsport Speedway promoter, Jimmy Phelps.

This year’s Burris Racing Tire giveaways will take place during the driver’s meeting of the first five events of the season held on April 29-30, June 11, July 23, and September 17.  A minimum of two drawings will take place at each race meet, with one drawing reserved for junior members and a second for senior members.  Drivers must be present during the driver’s meeting to collect their tires.  Member registration will open online after the first of the year.

The opening Spring Meltdown Weekend on April 29-30 will see a total of eight giveaway drawings held, four each day, to help teams get a jump start on the 2023 season.

Established in 1976, Burris Racing Tire’s headquarters resides in Huntington Beach, CA, and is packed full of karting tires, wheels, oils, starters, safety equipment, engine mounts, and much more.  With all Burris tires made in the USA, Burris takes pride in their tires providing superior repeatability, while helping tracks to keep the economics of the sport in check and their racers coming back.

Aside from the Burris Racing Tire giveaways, Slack Karts will once again present a brand new Slack Pursuit Chassis to one lucky Weedsport Kartway member at season’s end.  The new kart will be presented to a Kartway member that attends all seven events on the Slack Karts Super Kart Series trail.

More specific details on Weedsport’s 2023 schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.  All classes will still utilize AKRA Clone guidelines for the coming season, as well as Burris 33 tires.
