Another Star Weekend Doubleheader On Tap For August 18 & 19

(August 17, 2023) — Once again Star Speedway will be in action on both Friday and Saturday night this weekend, August 18th, and 19th. First up will be the final edition of $5 Friday Series, where the K-COB Slingshots will highlight the program for the second straight week, with grandstand admission being $5 for all. Following Friday’s program will be another Saturday night showdown, featuring the Izzett Construction Late Models, Woody’s Auto Street Stocks and more.

Friday night’s racing program will include the K-COB Slingshots along with both the NELCAR Legends and Bandoleros for the second consecutive week. Also on the card will be the Mighty Trucks, Super Troopers, Junkyard Dogs, and the always popular Pro V8. The Trucks, Dogs and Pro V8 will be holding their championship events.

The Friday night schedule will see racing kick off at 7PM with grandstands opening up at 5:30PM. General admission pricing will be $5 for all over the age of 11. Practice for Friday’s racing will begin at 5:45 p.m. with the pit area opening up at 4:30PM for Star Members and Pit Pay members and 4:45PM for all others.

Joining the Izzett Construction Late Models and Woody’s Auto Street Stocks on Saturday’s schedule will be the 2 To Go Show Six Shooters, who will be running double features on the night, including the popular Don & Aline Coster Memorial.

The MLM Diagnostic Pure Stocks will also be on track along with a special 40-lap main event for the Morse Trucking Cruisers worth $500 to win.

Saturday’s racing will begin with qualifying at 6PM. The grandstands will open at 4:30PM and the pit area will open at 3:15PM for members and pit pay members along with 3:30PM for all others. Tickets for this event will be $15 for adults, $12 for seniors/juniors/military and kids 11 and under free. Pit passes are $30 for members and $35 for non-members.
