2024 SCHEDULE: New Venues, Series Staples Await Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds

The Series will visit 18 different tracks throughout six states and Canada in 2024

CONCORD, NC – December 1, 2023 – After a history-making 2023, the Super DIRTcar Series is turning toward an exciting 2024.

The Beasts of the Northeast will travel to six different states and Canada, kicking off with Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park, Feb. 14-17, and concluding with the World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, Nov. 6-9.

Along the way, the best Big Block Modified drivers in the country will venture to four new facilities and return to favorites like the three-day Canadian swing, SummerFAST and Super DIRT Week 52. There will be nine Super DIRT Week Qualifiers, paying $10,000 or more to win, giving drivers a chance to lock themselves into the $52,000-to-win Billy Whittaker Cars 200 (Saturday, Oct. 12).

“We’re always trying to branch out and grow the Super DIRTcar Series, hitting new areas out of our nucleus,” said Dean Reynolds, Super DIRTcar Series Director. “We’re excited with the schedule we’ve built for the 2024 season and really excited for the new change to SummerFAST and Super DIRT Week. We can’t wait to get the 2024 season started.”

New Additions

New Egypt Speedway (March 30):It won’t take long for the Super DIRTcar Series to visit its first new venue in 2024 as it kicks off the championship season at New Egypt Speedway in New Egypt, NJ.

It’ll be the first time since 2014 the Series has visited the 7/16-mile facility – a race won by 10-time and defending champion Matt Sheppard.

Thunder Mountain Speedway (May 27):A trip to the Southern Tier marks the second new venue of the season as the Series makes its debut at Thunder Mountain Speedway in Center Lisle, NY. Thunder on the Mountain will be a homecoming for Darren Smith, as the Binghamton, NY driver is the defending track champion at the 3/8-mile track.

Selinsgrove Speedway (June 5):Another new track for the Super DIRTcar Series awaits in June, as the Series makes its first stop at Selinsgrove Speedway on Wednesday, June 5. The $10,000-to-win event at the 1/2-mile track will be a Super DIRT Week Qualifier and serve as the second leg of a two-night Pennsylvania swing, including Big Diamond Speedway on June 4.

Atomic Speedway (Sept. 27-28):The final new venue of 2024 is the Series’ highly anticipated debut at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, OH. A pair of Super DIRT Week Qualifiers highlight the weekend, as drivers will battle on the 3/8-mile oval for $10,000-to-win on Friday, Sept. 27, and $12,000-to-win on Saturday, Sept. 28.

Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals

Before drivers chase a Series championship, they’ll be chasing gators in the Sunshine State. The Super DIRTcar Series kicks off 2024 with its annual hunt for the Big Gator title, Feb. 14-17, during Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park (a non-Series points event).

Last season, Mat Williamson earned his first “Big Gator,” scoring two of the three victories, and looks to repeat in the Buzz Chew Chevrolet #88 Modified.

Weedsport Speedway

Weedsport Speedway will again host three significant events on the 2024 schedule for the Super DIRTcar Series. The first of those three is on Memorial Day weekend for the Heroes Remembered 100 (May 26). Then, the Series returns in July for the Hall of Fame Classic (July 14), just three nights after the next round of drivers get inducted into the Northeast Dirt Modified Hall of Fame.

The final trip to Weedsport is in September when drivers battle during the track’s Cavalcade Weekend (Sept. 7).

The Hall of Fame Classic and Cavalcade Weekend will have more than a checkered flag on the line, as both are Super DIRT Week Qualifiers.

Back To Canada

For the second straight season, the Super DIRTcar Series returns to Canada for three nights of action between Quebec and Ontario.

The swing starts with two nights at Autodrome Drummond (July 22-23) for the second annual King of the North. The doubleheader will be capped off by a $10,000-to-win Super DIRT Week Qualifier on Tuesday, July 23—a race won by Mike Mahaney last year.

After Drummond, the Series heads west for the Canadian Classic at Brockville Ontario Speedway—the only Ontario stop of 2024. Northeast Dirt Modified Hall of Famer Tim Fuller scored his second Brockville Series win in that event, tying him with Billy Decker and Danny Johnson for most Super DIRTcar Series wins at the 1/4-mile oval.

SummerFAST

SummerFAST’s three-race mini-series returns for the third straight season in mid-August. But this time with a twist.

The epic event will kick off at Brewerton Speedway on Monday, Aug. 12, as it has in previous years. But now, the second night will be at Land of Legends Raceway on Tuesday, Aug. 13(the second stop at the track in 2024), before finishing at Fulton Speedway on Wednesday, Aug. 14.

Whoever accumulates the most points over those three nights will be the 2024 SummerFAST champion.

Malta Massive Weekend

A prestigious Capital Region tradition continues in September as the Series returns to Albany-Saratoga Speedway for Malta Massive Weekend. The Super DIRTcar Series will cap off the weekend on Saturday, Sept. 21, in a Massive Feature paying $10,000-to-win and locking one driver into the Billy Whittaker Cars 200.

Super DIRT Week 52

All eyes are on Oswego Speedway, Oct. 7-12, as the Super DIRTcar Series returns for Super DIRT Week 52. However, 2024 will be slightly different as the Billy Whittaker Cars 200 will now run under the lights on Saturday night. The 200-lap finale will also pay $52,000 to win in 2024.

The northeast’s biggest dirt racing event will again include DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, DIRTcar Sportsman and DIRTcar Pro Stocks.

Tickets are already on sale for Racing’s Biggest Party at SuperDIRTWeek.com.

Super DIRT Week Qualifiers: Nine drivers will earn a spot in the Billy Whitaker Cars 200 before setting foot at Oswego Speedway during Super DIRT Week 52 through the Super DIRT Week Qualifiers. Nine races – all marquee events – on the schedule that pay $10,000 or more to win will also award a Billy Whittaker Cars 200 guaranteed starting spot. (If there’s a repeat Locked-in winner, the guaranteed spot goes to the next driver in the race’s finishing order who isn’t locked in.)

Here are the nine Super DIRT Week qualifiers in 2024:

  • Big Diamond Speedway (June 4)
  • Selinsgrove Speedway (June 5)
  • Weedsport Speedway (July 14)
  • Autodrome Drummond (July 23)
  • Lebanon Valley Speedway (Aug. 31)
  • Weedsport Speedway (Sept. 7)
  • Albany-Saratoga Speedway (Sept. 21)
  • Atomic Speedway (Sept. 27 and Sept. 28)

World Finals

The 2024 season will once again conclude at The Dirt Track at Charlotte as the Super DIRTcar Series returns to the World of Outlaws World Finals (Nov. 6-9), along with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars and the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Model Series.

Like last season, drivers will follow a four-day format at Charlotte, culminating with the crowning of the 2024 champion on Saturday, Nov. 9, along with the two World of Outlaws champions.
