John Petty Passes Away

December 10, 1954 -January 18, 2024
John C. Petty, age 69, of Pulaski, formerly of Mexico, passed away Thursday at his home. John was born December 10, 1954, in Oswego, the son of Robert and Dorothy Jaquin Petty. He graduated from Mexico High School in 1974. John was employed by and a member of the Carpenters Local #747 in Syracuse for over 25 years. He was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church in Pulaski. John drove and crewed for over 40 years, at Oswego Speedway. A carpenter by trade, John enjoyed woodworking and building in his spare time.
Surviving, are his children, daughter, Mandy (Nate) Farden of Sterling, son, Jamie Petty of Pulaski, daughter, Jessica Petty (Sean Stone) of Sterling, and grandchildren, Kaleb, Keane, Harper, and Naomi. John was predeceased by his brother Robert Petty and sister Rochelle Petty.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, January 27th at St.James Episcopal Church, 24 Lake Street, Pulaski. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St.James Church.
