1 MONTH ALERT: Super DIRTcar Series Thunders Into Can-Am Speedway, April 13

LAFARGEVILLE, NY (March 13, 2024) – The Northeast’s premier dirt racing series is bringing its famliy-fun action to Can-Am Speedway during the Thunder in The Thousand Island weekend.

The Super DIRTcar Series will make its first New York stop of 2024 at Can-Am Speedway on Saturday, April 13, for the second race of its championship season. However, the Thunder in The Thousands Islands event will kick off on Friday, April 12, highlighted by the season-opener for the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series – and practice for Super DIRTcar Series drivers.

It’ll be the Super DIRTcar Series’ 22nd time visiting the 4/10-mile track, but only fourth time since it was reconfigured from a 1/2-mile track. Since then, there have been three different winners in three races – Anthony Perrego (2020), Stewart Friesen (2021) and Matt Sheppard (2022). Sheppard is currently the only driver to have won Series races on both configurations.
