Gerry’s General Maintenance Returning As Contingency Sponsor of Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars
SEEKONK, Mass. — Seekonk Speedway is pleased to announce that Gerry’s General Maintenance will be returning as a contingency sponsor of the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars for the 2021 season. Similar to last year, Gerry’s General will provide a $50 cash bonus to the winner of each Legends Cars race — if the driver that wins has the Gerry’s General sticker on their car that night. This bonus was won multiple times in 2020 and Seekonk Speedway looks forward to continuing the program for the new season.
Gerry DeGasparre Jr., the owner of Gerry’s General Maintenance, is a seven-time Late Model champion at Seekonk — tied with David Darling (seven Pro Stock titles) for the most in track history. DeGasparre Jr. will be looking to win his record eighth title himself behind the wheel this season.
“I support the track because it’s my home track, I’ve been going since I was 10-years-old,” Gerry DeGasparre Jr., said. “It’s a great division, fun racing, always competitive. I’m there every week watching him.”
“Our Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars program has grown tremendously since we started it and we look forward to watching it continue to evolve into the 2021 season,” Ed St. Germain, Director of Business Development for Seekonk Speedway, said. “We owe a huge thank you to all of our sponsors for making great awards possible. Thanks to Gerry’s General Maintenance for this Legends Cars possible. We know our drivers will be appreciative of the extra cash.”
Seekonk Speedway’s 75th full-time season of racing is slated to begin on Sunday, May 2, at 2PM. Additional information around capacity restrictions and online ticket sales will be released in the near future. Stay tuned to seekonkspeedway.com and social media channels for more information.
