Dusty Young Memorial Race Tonight at Seekonk Speedway
Tonight’s race at Seekonk Speedway is a special night. It will be the first-annual Dusty Young Memorial race sponsored by Neolite Signs for the second-tier Late Model division. The race is named in memory of Dusty Young, a former Norwood Arena track official and a member of the Seekonk Speedway community for many years. Dusty was a part of Team 99 with his son “Fireball” Glen Young driving in Street Stocks, Late Models and Pro Stocks. Glen Young will be flying in from Arizona to drive in tonight’s Late Model race. Also on the docket is the popular Street Stock Kraze 30-30 Special. With extra laps and more cars competing in the feature, it only increases the action and excitement. Three Street Stock races this season have featured three first-time winners in Steve Axon, Chris DeMoura and Jeff Amaral, respectively. Will the fourth week continue the trend or will a veteran stela the spotlight?
The ARC Pro Stocks and Sport Trucks will also compete tonight. The pits open at 2PM with the gates opening at 3PM. Practice starts at 3:30 with racing beginning at 6PM. Admission is $12 with children 12 and under free.
