Fast Friday series begins at Seekonk Speedway with Jake Spillers, Casey Sanchez, and Bob Hinckley in Victory Lane

Seekonk, MA — Friday night, June 6th opened the 2nd season for the Fast Friday series at Seekonk Speedway for the Seekonk Youth Racing Association and the Pure Stocks highlighting the action. The first feature on the docket was the SYRA 600 25 lap feature. Kaitlyn Donovan of Waterford, Ct. and Bob Perry of Holbrook Ma brought the field down. Kaitlyn would lead early on and set the pace for the first handful of laps, opening up a lead of 3 car lengths at times. While she was setting the pace, Adam Swift was working his way through the field from his 7th place start. By lap 7, he was starting to close in the distance to Kaitlyn. Following him through the field was Medeiros Jr. and Jake Spillers. By lap 10, they were running in a single line with Kyle DeSouza rounding out the top 5. Just as the field was coming through turn 3 and 4, Glen Deming of N. Scituate RI spun his Deming Disposal #24 in turn two, bringing out the first yellow.

Coming down to complete lap eleven, the back end of Kaitlyn’s black and purple #95 came out from underneath her, as she spun in front of the field. She was able to keep out of harms way, but she was relegated to the rear of the field. This handed the lead over to Fairhaven’s Adam Swift. His lead was short lived however, as Jake Spillers was able to make the pass for the lead before they got into turn 1. On lap 11, Deming would spin again in turn 2, bringing out the third caution of the event. Once green again, Spillers would put his GRC Steel Taurus at the top of the field. At the halfway point, the top five was Spillers, Medeiros, Swift, Dave Hutchins, and Kyle DeSouza. On lap 17, Hutchins would spin his Hutchins and Son’s Enterprises #96 coming off turn 4.
