Matt Grant To Race His Legends Car At Various Tracks This Season

Matt Grant out of Windham, ME will travel to other tracks this season in his Legends car. Grant will still be on the NELCAR Tour and running the Thursday Night Thunder Series at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, ME. Grant is also planning to travel to the Legend Stock event at Bethel Motor Speedway in New York, the triple crown with the Nick Pit Stop Legends at Seekonk Speedway and also make a few races at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.

With the Legends division growing here in New England over the last couple season. Grant feels the Legends have an excellent following and presence in New England and have for many years. Some of the track Grant likes to race at are Beech Ridge Motor Speedway and Wiscasset Speedway up in Maine as well as Star Speedway in New Hampshire.

The Legends Nationals will be coming over to the New London-Waterford Speedbowl in October. Well it is unlikely for Grant to attend the event in October. He went to the event last year at Anderson Speedway down in South Carolina after he had a National Qualifier win for the event that would give him a guaranteed starting spot to run in the A Main and the Race Of Champions. “ The event was great but we’d like to go out and try some other big events along the course of the season.” Grant Said

The high points of last season for Grant was winning 3 races and having numerous podium finishes. Grant would miss a couple races last season after flipping his car at Thursday Night Thunder at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. The Varney Family would loan him a car for the following Saturday race at Wiscasset Speedway. Grant would get a top ten finish in that event.

Grant’s sponsors for the 2016 season will be Gore Moving & Storage, Tim Grant Plumbing Plus, Speedway Motorsports Park, Seacoast Mechanical, Construction Consultants, Sebago Lake Automotive, JSD Welding, and Lee’s Family Trailer Sales.

Goals for Grant for the 2016 season is just to keep building success from 2015. “ There’s always room for improvement in every aspect of our team.”
