Ryan Lutz To Race Legends At Various Tracks in 2016. Heading to UTI

Ryan Lutz will be racing as much as he can this season in his legends car. He is planning to run a limited schedule at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl, Riverhead Raceway, Stafford Motor Speedway, and maybe a couple events at Bethel Motor Speedway. Ed and Connie Partridge purchased Riverhead Raceway last season. Lutz is excited to race on the Long Island quarter mile oval.

“ I feel that Eddie and Connie are the best for Riverhead. I have a lot of respect for them and I can’t thank them enough for keeping Riverhead Raceway a race track. Very excited to race there this year.” Lutz Said

His brother Craig will be running on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. Ryan is looking forward to helping his older brother on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour this season. Craig tested at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park with his Whelen Modified Tour car last weekend.

“ I’m super excited. We both are completely rebuilding our cars from last year and updating them completely. I love helping Craig with the tour because you are up against the top notch teams such as Doug Coby and Bobby Santos and all the people that you looked up to when you were little kids in the grandstands wishing you could just meet the drivers but to be apart of a team that is racing against them is honestly unbelieveable.” Lutz Said

Ryan will be moving to Mooresville, NC later this summer. He will be going to UTI (Universal Technical Institute) and is hoping to work for Robert Yates Racing. What made Ryan decide to go to UTI is the atmosphere.

“ The atmosphere in Mooresville is amazing. It is all about racing and all about making it into the NASCAR field. The teachers seem great. They have a lot of experience and they know what it takes to make it big.” Lutz Said

Lutz wants a win more than anything in 2016 as he came very close last season. Last season, Lutz started off the season in a hole. The first couple of races he had some mechanical failures that costed him to have a DNF. After Lutz and the team figured out all the bugs and problems they were having. They were inside the top 5 at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl. “ We had a chance to win one race but hey like they say you have to lose a race before you can win a race.”

They began to struggle at the Speedbowl so they went to Riverhead for the last 3 races of the year. He finished inside the top 10 in 2 races. “ I am very confident that this year we will be one of the cars to beat each week.”

His goal for this season is to win a race. “ We were very close last year and this year we completely rebuilt our car. I can’t thank Jason Palmer enough. He has helped me out big time. I feel like we will have a very stout piece come race season.”

Ryan Lutz would like to thank his dad and stepmom Renee for helping him out with his racing. Also his brother Craig, Kurt, J & J Racing, Moroso Racing Products, and 600 Engine Shop.
