2016 Lee USA Speedway Season Preview Bobby Somers Named New Promoter

Lee, NH- Bobby Somers has been named the new promoter of  Lee USA Speedway in Lee, NH.  Somers believes it is a blessing to be the new promoter at Lee USA Speedway.  Joe Bassett has gone on to work at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Somers believes it is an honor to follow in the footsteps of Joe Bassett.

Somers has a lot of new ideas for the 2016 season at the New Hampshire Seacoast Oval as Red and Judy MacDonald will head into their 30th season of being the owners at Lee USA Speedway.  With Somers having the passion in auto racing is what drives him to do the job he has at Lee USA Speedway. “What’s funny is Marketing was my major in school and here I am some 37 years later truly utilizing my education along with Racing. Its just incredible opportunity to able to be alongside  all the staff, teams and fans here at Lee USA Speedway.  Growing up as a little kid sitting in the stands having the dreams of being a race car driver, but never imagined the opportunities and blessing that all have been provided over time.” Somers Said

Somers has a great deal of events set up for the young and old this season.  One of the things that is in discussion for this season is there will be kids birthday parties in the VIP Tower. That kids will have the chance to meet their favorite driver and get to ride in the pace car.

Somers will admit it is a lot of hard work but when he arrives this season at the track on Friday night I think the fans and teams will see a lot of new advertising through out the facility. When the fans come to the track, there will be new things on the Midway. “We have almost every Friday night along with our racing program something slated for the Fans to be a part of.  It’s been really great working alongside GM Bill Callen. We seem to have similar ideas of what to do this season and constantly bouncing new stuff off each other day and night. We have several National Recording artists performing this season as they make a quick stop before going to their major concert venue that evening.  We are still in discussions will several Sprint Cup teams to have them come over when in Loudon is in July.”

Somers will continue to work with the Racing With Jesus Ministries.  Somers owes a lot of gratitude to his wife Vinetta. It is their 7th season with the Ministry at LEE USA SPEEDWAY.

” I think already I have over 20 car show events to do for LEE USA SPEEDWAY with all the new Advertising Sponsors.  I believe we have almost every family attraction advertising with us this season located all thru out New England. So we will be having a great deal of ticket giveaways every Friday night. We along with Steele Hill Resorts are also giving away this season a 7 day Luxury vacation to Orlando or Las Vegas to some lucky fan with the runner up getting VIP tower party with 10 guests.  How to register will be all done at LEE USA SPEEDWAY, so you certainly don’t want to miss an event it could be your lucky night to have your name drawn. So fans are going to want to keep an eye on the website and Facebook with many more events are still scheduled to get announced for 2016.  I owe a great deal of Thanks to Red and Judy MacDonald to give me this opportunity to be an extended part of a great Racing family.”
