Sam Rameau Looks to Take Back Tri Track Points Lead at Star Speedway

WESTMINSTER, Mass. — With two of the six races already completed in the Tri Track Open Modified Series season, Sam Rameau will return to the track this Saturday, July 24, at Star Speedway in Epping, New Hampshire. Set for the prestigious 10th annual SBM 125, Rameau will drive the No. 06 machine in his attempt to pocket the $6,000 winning prize and gain back the points lead on the Tri Track circuit.

Rameau won the Tri Track Open Modified Series season-opener at Monadnock Speedway on May 1, and when the series visited Star on May 22, he finished 12th. This time, the Westminster, Massachusetts, driver is hoping to advance his position and become a major contender to win one of the top Modified races of the year. The event has a purse of over $66,000, with multiple bonus awards on the line.

“Tri Track is our main focus,” Rameau said. “I think we will have a good shot to win at Star, and anywhere the Tri Track Series goes this season. I think we will be in good shape when we get there.”

The schedule for Saturday’s events includes one practice session from 1:30-2:30 p.m., with qualifying heat races set to begin just after 3:30 p.m. The estimated start time for the Tri Track feature is 6:30 p.m., but subject to change. All tickets will be available at the gate, and for those who can’t make it to the track, Speed51.TV will have live coverage of the race.
