TD Banknorth 250 Date Set for Sun., July 20, 2008

Oxford, ME — For the fifth consecutive year, Oxford Plains Speedway has announced that the richest single-day late model stock car race in the region will coincide with an off weekend for the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series.

The 35th annual TD Banknorth 250 Presented by New England Dodge Dealers, which attracted a record number of pre-entries and one of the largest fields of qualifying hopefuls in its proud history last summer, is slated for Sunday, July 20, 2008.

HDRA Holeshot Drag racing Coming to Speedbowl

Waterford, CT — The Speedbowl will play host to the competitors of the HRDA as they present a full program of 100’ “Holeshot” Drag Racing On October 12th & 13th.

A wildly popular segment of the sport on both the West Coast and Long Island , the weekend marks the first time such an event has ever been presented at the shoreline oval. Ssome of the fastest street-legal vehicles in the Northeast are expected.

North South Shootout™ Contingency Program Grows More Lucrative

Zach Stroupe Youngest Ever to Lead Laps in PASS South

Concord, NC — 2007 is a learning season for 14-year-old Zach Stroupe. In the competitive Super Late Model world in the Southeast, it is hard for any driver or team to make their first-ever season in the high-horsepower racecar series an impressive one.

So far in 2007, however, Zach Stroupe and the BDI Racing team have been doing nothing but impress. Even though the finishes may not show it, the #51 Chevrolet team has been turning heads at tracks from North Carolina to Florida in their rookie season with strong showings in some of the toughest SLM series in the South.

NEMA Point Battle Moves To Seekonk

Sixteen points separate point leader Ben Seitz, seeking an unprecedented fourth straight drivers title, and Joey Payne Jr. as the Northeastern Midget Association returns to Seekonk Speedway Oct. 6-7 for the D.Anthony Venditti Memorial.

“It’s all about pressure,” says Seitz, a winner earlier this year at Seekonk. “It’s all about how good you do in the garage and on the track.” NEMA’s best get around the quarter mile in the low 11 seconds bracket.
