HDRA Holeshot Drag racing Coming to Speedbowl
Waterford, CT — The Speedbowl will play host to the competitors of the HRDA as they present a full program of 100’ “Holeshot” Drag Racing On October 12th & 13th.
A wildly popular segment of the sport on both the West Coast and Long Island , the weekend marks the first time such an event has ever been presented at the shoreline oval. Ssome of the fastest street-legal vehicles in the Northeast are expected.
Racers chauffeuring all-out modified cars, imports, pickups, bikes, street rods, and daily drivers will be pitted against each other “heads-up” style on the 100’ drag course. Any licensed driver with a street-legal vehicle is eligible to compete and join in on what promises to be a landmark show.
The two-day event starts on Friday afternoon with a “Test & Tune” session (pits only), from 4 to 10pm. Also on the agenda is the “Street Bike Shootout.” Pits open at 9am, with grandstands opening at 12:00 on Saturday, Racing starts at noon and is expected to conclude by 7pm. Events include trophy eliminations for all cars and Jr. Dragsters. Capping the day off will be the “Pro Street Shootout”, a battle of 800-plus horsepower street machines.
Pit fee is $20.00 per day. Grandstand admittance (Sat. only), is $10.00, with kids under 14 free.
