Champions Headline North-South Shootout Rosters as Race Nears & Anticipation Grows

Lexington, NC — It is not often that fans of short track racing can find a single event with as diverse and talented a line-up as that being presented by C&C Racing Promotions on Friday and Saturday, November 2 & 3, 2007. An incredible group of racing talent will be competing in this year’s John Blewett III Memorial North-South Shootout at the ultra-fast tri-oval of Concord Motorsport Park in Concord, NC. The roster for the John Blewett III Memorial North-South Shootout featuring the East-West Supermodified Shootout is shaping up to be one of the most noted in short-track racing history.

On hand for the prestigious event will be the stars of the major Modifieds tours on the East Coast. They are being joined by the tenacious racers from Supermodified racing associations nationwide and from weekly race tracks in the northeast. The rosters for the Shootout’s ‘big three’ will include a collection of championship drivers and a host of rising stars.

Seuss Claims First Win Of The Season at Lee

Lee, NH — Andy Seuss of Hampstead, N. H won his True Value Modified Racing Series of the 2007 season at the Lee USA Speedway Oktoberfest. Seuss passed 2007 series Champions Kirk Alexander with three laps remaining. Alexander, who had led from lap 21, had a tire go flat while leading.

“It’s been tough at times this season”, said Seuss. “I’m just glad we could have a strong run to end the year.”

Big Y World Class Markets “Smacktoberfest” Provides Family Thrills at Speedbowl

Waterford, CT — An overflow crowd was on hand at the Speedbowl Sunday afternoon for “Smacktoberfest” presented by Big Y World Class Supermarkets.

Starting the spectacle, it was the ever-popular “Speedway Bowling”, a Speedbowl original. The seasoned duo of Duane “Out Of Control” Noll of Trumbull and “Sick Rick” Whittle of Mystic were the top pin-smackers, soundly defeating the team of Middletown’s Brad Voglesong and Patrick Williams of Berlin.

Logano Takes Toyota All-Star Showdown

Irwindale, Calif. – Joey Logano capped off his rookie season in the NASCAR Grand National Division the same way he started it: In Victory Lane.

Logano, the 17-year-old Joe Gibbs Racing development driver, picked up his biggest victory Saturday night winning the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown at Irwindale (Calif.) Speedway.
