Former Car Owner Eddie Hamel Passes at 70
Edward Hamel, 70, of Middlefield, husband of Suzanne (Galanto) Hamel, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at his home.
He was born in
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Allen Hamel of Orange City, Fla.; three daughters, Denise Neals, Deborah Couto and her husband, Dennis, all of Deltona, Fla. and Doreen Miller of Summersville, S.C.; three brothers, Robert Hamel and his wife, Delores, of Terryville, Richard Hamel and his wife, Lorraine, of Terryville and Joseph Hamel of Loudon, N.H.; two sisters, Arlene Lodge of Pembroke, N.H. and Patty Clough and her husband, Robie, of Canterbury, N.H.; six grandchildren; stepmother, Julia Hamel of Contoocook, N.H.; many nieces, nephews and many other dear family members.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, in
Eddie is best known as the car owner of the #25 Modified driven by Bobby Knox at Plainville Stadium.
